We’re excited to announce a new partnership aimed at improving the promotion and navigation of walking routes around Ripon.

This initiative began with a conversation at our AGM with Justin from Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal, where we agreed that Ripon’s walking routes needed better visibility and organisation to make them more accessible to everyone. As part of this collaboration, we’ve worked closely with Fountains Abbey & Studely Royal, who have been actively promoting several beautiful walking routes around the area on their website. After our discussions, we came to the conclusion that it would be best to create a proposal that avoids duplicating these routes, ensuring both websites complement each other while offering a diverse range of walks.

Additionally, we’ve partnered with Josie at Skell Valley Project, making sure to highlight their fantastic efforts in developing new walking routes in the area. Together, we’re celebrating the hard work put into these trails by showcasing them to the public.

As a result, we’ve revamped our walking routes section on the website to feature:

  • Three walking routes generously provided by Fountains Abbey
  • The new walking routes from the Skell Valley Project

This collaboration ensures that walkers can easily navigate the various routes around Ripon, with each website offering a unique selection of trails. By working together, we aim to provide visitors with a comprehensive and seamless experience, whether they’re exploring the historic Fountains Abbey grounds or enjoying the scenic beauty of the Skell Valley.

We invite you to explore the newly updated walking routes on our website and discover the beauty of Ripon on foot!
